Position Summary: The Protective Security Specialist Firearms Instructor (PSS/FI) primary function is to provide protective security operations. The secondary function of the PSS/FI is to supervise weapons re-qualification training in overseas locations.
Essential Functions:
Plan and coordinate weapons re-qualification training
Ensure that all equipment, weapons, ammunition, and materials are on-hand for training
Conduct re-qualification firing
Other administrative tasks as necessary to support range operations

Non-Essential Functions:
Additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned according to the needs of the customer/client

Supervisory Responsibilities: N/A

Crucial Requirements and Abilities:
The contract requires you to be a U.S. Citizen - must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Level Security Clearance
Completed or served at least three (3) years’ experience in military, law enforcement or executive commercial protection
One (1) year experience in personal protective assignments with demonstrated skills
A minimum of one (1) year of experience working as a Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) Firearms Instructor
Worked on other U.S., federal, state, or local government training assignments
Experience can be gained in the employ of any national, State/Provincial, Local or commercial entities providing high threat protective services
English language proficiency (minimum Level III)
Obtain and maintain weapons qualifications
Must successfully pass all required courses specified by the client

The employee is frequently required to move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. The employee is occasionally required to stand; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
